OPTISEP 200 & 400 filter holders are extremely versatile plate and frame devices, with the ability to handle membrane evaluations, low volume separations (200 mL to 10L), and sterile processing (PEI only).

Therefore, the "dual" flow path design of these devices provides the ability to operate two membranes independently in one device. Therefore you can simultaneously test two membranes under identical conditions and/or do a two step process in one device.

The OPTISEP 200 (pictured above) filter holder has 0.2 ft² (0.02M²) of membrane areas, 0.01M² per side. The hold-up volume is 7.5 ml per side.

The OPTISEP 400 (pictured below) filter holder has 0.2 ft² (0.02M²) per side, for a total membrane area of 0.04M². The filter holder has a hold-up volume of 15.0 ml per side.
