Emerging from our portfolio of more than 30 patents, NCSRT has produced a complete line of end-to-end filtration solutions that outperform all other separation and purification products available today.
NCSRT currently has outstanding opportunities for a Junior Scientist in our Applications Laboratory. This is an applied science position focused on supporting NCSRT's bioprocessing solutions.
Key Functions:
- Support and assist Senior Scientists and Lab Director in Applications Laboratory
- Participate in creating performance data for NCSRT products; "How-To" papers for bioprocessing; case studies
- Provide demonstrations and technical support to clients and assist in the technical aspects of the sales process
- Develop materials for conferences and coordinate with third parties for independent presentations, papers and collateral
- Provide subject matter (Biology) expertise for integrated bioprocessing solutions and bioreactor development; will assist in chromatography process development
- Work with Senior Lab staff on client process optimization projects
Requirements
Experience/Education Requirements (varies in accordance with position level):
- Cell culture--growing genetically engineered (recombinant) mammalian cells
- Fermentation of genetically engineered bacteria; genetically engineered Pichia Pastoris
- Downstream processing/protein capture experience:
- Filtration
- Chromatography
- Scale-up/process development experience
- cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Process) experience
- Excellent communications skills
- Flexible and able to adapt to business requirements. Possess high level of initiative and personal accountability, follow-through skills and ability to contribute to process improvement
- BS, MS, PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or related field
